Getting Settled in Tinseltown

So this has been quite the week in Hollywood. I arrived last Sunday afternoon and immediately went to Target to buy an air mattress and then tried my best to unpack my suitcases...
Over the course of the next few days, we went to Ikea, bought furniture, and became master carpenters in order to construct it all in our apartment. Several trips out to Burbank later, voila!

Its not completely there, but getting closer every day! Now I just have to figure out how to hang the curtains and my paintings.

Other than my many decorating adventures this week, trying to get our apartment all settled, I have had some LA adventures as well! I went on a hike at Runyon Canyon, and it was absolutely beautiful. What an amazing view of the city!

I also went to the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena, and it put the Nashville flea market to shame. It was enormous! Despite the size discrepancy, I think I would still rather go to the one in Nashville- way less overwhelming. It was fun to go check it out though.

I had three interviews, which is also exciting. Two last week and one this Thursday. I had an interview at Warner Bros. Records in the Publicity Department, and was offered the position, which was very exciting! It seemed like an absolutely amazing place to work and I am so excited that I might be working there!

I went to church on Sunday with my friend Carrie at Reality LA, and it was like a breath of fresh air. All week I had felt like something was missing or not right, and after being at church I realized exactly what that was. I had always had community before and wasn't used to being without it. It was such a blessing to be there, and just in case I needed more confirmation, the first person I met outside of church was a Young Life leader. Thank you Jesus for making my heart at peace. You sent me a very clear sign and I am so grateful!

All in all, it has been a great week, and I am excited to invest in this amazing new place!
